American Food

Can you see the size of this turkey leg? Oh yeah, this was nearly as big as Simon's face and only $4! This is the beginning of our new diet.

California Adventure ...

Disneyland

Disneyland was all good!!!! After being in LA for a little less than 24 hours, we ventured off to Disneyland. oh yeah!!! So many rides and not bad weather eh. The weather in Anaheim was about 18 degrees celius. We were staying at a hotel only a few blocks down from the park, so it was easy access. We got up really early and spent 11 hours at the park. We were lining up for the rides most of the time, but managed to see most of the traditional Disneyland and the newer California Adventure in just one day. The picture is of us outside the main castle at Disneyland. Looking forward to Universal Studios tomorrow :)

Live in LA

Well we made it to LA in one piece. Bit of turbulance on the flight which Nat was not that keen on but got semi use to after a while.

Arrived at our luxurious accomodation ( The Comfort Inn) about 8 hours ago. Basic but good and does have free wireless internet.

Thought about going to Disneyland this afternoon and went for a walk to investigate. Was so busy they had stopped selling tickets. We will return bright and early tomorrow to get tickets.

Turns out we were pretty tired anyway. After Taco Bell and some yummy pizza and beer we crashed out back at the Hotel. Is now 10pm on 29/12 and we are both wide awake!

Nat's Last Day at Work

Nat had her last day at work yesterday. To celebrate we had our combined leaving drinks last night at Syn Bar in Bond St. Was an excellent night with lots of friends from and outside the bank there. My (Simon) Mum and Dad were in town and came along for a couple of drinks as well. Night progressed on and we ended up going for a few drinks down C-Place. Managed to lose Old Man ( Paul Nouata) and Dave Dyer at some point along the way. Am sure they managed to look after themselves.

Nat is still in bed this morning feeling a bit 'roth'.

Late Night

Have been up late tonight preparing my CV. Lots to do but is coming on well. Nat being the organised girl she is has done most of her's and has been in bed for hours.

Only 2 weeks until Nat finishes work and 3 weeks for me. The excitment and nervousness is starting to build for both of us. Actually most planning things are now in order so neither of us are too worried about 'chores' we have to do before we go. Looking forward to that first gin on the plane!

Good to see in the news that UK expecting worst winter in 40 years!!! Excellent. Should be fun.

Off to bed now.
