Hyde Park Calling

Crowded House!!!!
Nat, Simon and Mike
Peter Gabriel
The rain is on it's way :(Chris Cornell!!!
We spent Saturday and Sunday at Hyde Park Calling listening to some good old rock!

The sun came out for Crowded House, but stuck around for the rest of the weekend... so glad we weren't at Glastonbury in this weather, as we could at least go home for a shower each night.

Steve Tyler finished up Sunday night's gig with an awesome show! Can't believe that guy is nearly 60. He rocked the stage and sung just like the albums... go Aerosmith!

Avenue Q

Me with Henry from Lost

On Monday a group of us from work went to see the musical Avenue Q

Absolutely sensational show! Very funny! But the most exciting part of the evening was walking there and bumping into Desmond from Lost. I am officially famous now!

Poker!

All of us at the end of the night after we had too many vodka's!

Will with his winnings!

Our regular poker night gets a post on the blog today! London put on a bit of sunshine for us so we even cranked out our little bbq in the car park... (miss those big back yards of NZ).

Derren Brown in Eastbourne

All ready for the show :-)
Chiz met us down in Eastbourne on his motor bike
Houses along the way to Eastbourne
Another photo shoot in the middle of a corn field somewhere random south of London ...

We hired a car and drove south to find Simon's favorite magician / mind reader... look at the things that I do for love :-)

Derren Brown sold out months ago, but we managed to get a single ticket, so we decided to go down and I'd wait outside... but then a few weeks later we managed to get another single ticket, so turned out we could both go, but sit in different places.

An absolutely excellent show! Was really worth the extent that we went to... I am still thinking about how he did everything, but I have no idea... will have to leave it down to magic!

We were hoping to stay at a bed and breakfast somewhere in the country, but everywhere was full so we stayed at this huge big old hotel right on the coast of Eastbourne. It would have been cranking in it's day, but this weekend there were only a few oldies dancing to their Saturday night dance - very cute. Still, a very nice old hotel...
