Leaving London

The Eurostar, the best way to travel internationally in the world!!! So easy, smooth and fun. Only a two and a half hour train ride through the chunnel from England to France and we even got to enjoy champagne! This is us with Graham and Georgie leaving London on Friday night :)

Happy 70th Mum!

For Mrs Elston...

Nat and I went to extreme measures to get these pictures of London for you! While up the top of the London Eye, we looked like real professional photographers taking these photos. Everyone got in there to help.

Love Simon & Nat xo

Foo Fighters!

Ledge! Dave Grohl is my favorite man!!!! Such an awsome concert. London put on the best weather, and Hyde Park was rocking with 85,000 people!

Queens of the Stone Age and Motorhead got the party rolling before Foo Fighters.

We even got a special edition song with Queen... Tie Your Mother Down in the middle of the Foo's. Absolutely brilliant concert!

Speakers Corner @ Hyde Park

We ventured down to Speakers Corner to see... speaking. This is where anyone can get up and talk about what they believe in. Lots of different religions and lots of heightened conversations. Simon loved it, but I got a little scared as there was lots of angry people screaming at the Muslims. Interesting, but Simon might have to go on his own next time :(

For Murray...

This is the view from Burger King in Piccadilly Circus. As you say, sensational!

Our new hobby ...

We brought our first kite a few weeks ago... and on our second day of flying, a dog chased the kite while it was in the air, until it crashed and then ripped the kite into bits :( Very sad, but Simon managed to get 30 quid out of the dog owner, for not looking after her dog.

So, ofcourse we now have a second kite which we are looking after very carefully.

The Clapham Common is the best place for kite flying, and seen as it's only down the road, we seem to be doing it every other night we're not drinking beer :)

Nat's Last Day at GSK

Today was the end of my four month contract with GlaxoSmithKline. No longer will I be travelling two hours each way to work on the Stansted express. Oh my gosh, I will finally have a life again.

We went to a pub in Harlow Town, and the weather was really turned on for us. Got up to 28 degrees! So enjoyed a few lagers in the sun.

Has been good to start working in London straight away, but now, looking forward to my new job with Goldman Sachs which starts on Monday. Although, I will miss the cheap Panadol, Lucozade and Ribena.

Copenhagen!

Well, Copenhagen is the city with the most beautiful people in the world! As soon as we arrived, beauty was everywhere! I think I need to pamper myself a little more, to feel better after standing next to them.

This was my first experience of pure foreign. No-one could understand us in Danish-land... As naive as I am, I wanted to ask for help, but everyone kept ignoring us. I then realised, they really couldn't understand us :(

We spent many hours sitting outside the pubs next to the canel... the best thing is they provide everyone with blankets. And of course, you stay longer when your warm.

Copenhagen is not only famous for ice-cream, but hot dogs! My gosh, they are sensational. Nothing like the American style... pure class!

Copenhagen Zoo

There is nothing better than seeing what animals Copenhagen has to offer.

Sunday was sensational weather and we enjoyed every bit of it, walking around the zoo. We ran into our first problem when all the signs and pamphlets about what animals are where, were in Danish. Ummm, no english anywhere! So, we decided we'd just walk about and see the animals.

Unfortunately, most of them were in very small homes. Not much room to run around and feel free.

Ofcourse we enjoyed lots of that Copenhagen ice-cream that we pay millions for in NZ.

Copenhagen Carnival

Tivoli Gardens

Oh my gosh, this is another theme park we could play in. Tivoli Gardens are a quaint version of Disneyland. Absolutely lovely to stroll around in and get involved in the excitement.

We went on nearly all of the rides, and nearly spewed up my ice-cream... but it was all good!. Gen, you would have been proud!
