We have found another city we could live in. Beautiful English city that is very different to London.
Our first stop in Bath was Bath Abbey. Amazing sense of history... very old!
The Roman Baths were intreiging... hard to understand how thousands of people literally bathed here, but is quite amazing when you believe it. There were about as many tourists here today as there would have been bathers in the Roman times!!!

the lead lining the baths is supposed to put lead in your pencil I'm told.Either that or kill you. Did you find the camera I left behind at the youth hostel.Had fotos of me playing golf at old St Andrews in Scotland.Maybe someone has collected it since 1979?
I'm very envious of your visit to Bath. I just loved living there. I agree, Swindon doesn't have much going for it. In fact, happiness is Swindon in your rear vision mirror!
Hey chook! If you get the chance, read the book Sarum by Edward Rutherfurd. It is all about the Bath/Salisbury Plains/Stonehenge areas and starts from the end of the last iceage through to modern day. Far more interesting that looking for a camera with photos of a golf course!!!! :-) He also wrote London. Worth a ready too. Gives a history with a bit of fiction. XXX

Hi Nats & Simon
I wish I was with you back in Bath. It was one of the highlights of our trip to UK & Europe.
You almost got a better feel for life in Roman times win Bath than any where in Italy.
