The first day we have seen rain in a long time, and it had to be on this day! Still very warm and enjoyable. Only had to run for cover once as the rain was bucketing down, but this didn't stop the show. Even saw a little lightning...
Sensational performance all day!
We saw the A380 Airbus take off right in front of us and do a few cheeky manoeuvres in the air. Such a big plane! Even bigger than those little 8 seaters from Wellington to Nelson.
The day started with the Red Arrows aerobatic team. Lots of helicopters, stunt planes and fighter jets. Never a dull moment which kept the little boy Simon amused with excitement all day.

so you saw some big toys BUT did you get to THE important event near Liverpool and see the Tiger live???
A real boys day out makes our airforce look a bit sparse. Perhaps our Government could rent one fighter as our token airforce.
