Korcula, Croatia

Our ferry that traveled the seas with us...

The squid season starts!

Up at the Fortress in Korcula
Traditional sword dancing that we went to... apparently can only be found in this part of the world

Simon's favorite bum on the beach. Not mine... hehehe
More lovely seafood
A main Fortress of Korcula - we went back up there to take sun-set shots

We caught a ferry from Dubrovnik on our second day in Croatia to Korcula - one of the Dalmatia islands about 3 hours from Dubrovnik.

Arriving to cloud and drops of rain was apparently unheard of in this part of the world where travel agents are prepared to give you your money back unless the weather is fine! None the less, the beautiful weather everyone talks about was here to stay from our third day. Gorgeous blue skies and temperatures in the low thirties.

We had five days on the island simply soaking up the sun, tasting the fine local white wine (very cheap!) and eating so much fresh seafood! I like to call it 'Simon's seafood tour of Croatia'. I think he probably ate them out of squid!

Swimming in the sea was just gorgeous. The clearest water I have ever seen. Could see everything in the water :-)

Some very interesting shots from various angles! A somewhat fishy holiday it seems. But oh that crystal clear water and warm temperatures - how divine.

hard to believe with all that civilisation pouring stuff into the med that it has remained so clear after all this time. Maybe they really are Civilised?
And don't be shy about that bum Nat. We know you've got black kinis!
